Is Grounding or Earthing Important To Health

Here is a simple explanation of this theory that has been heavily researched. When your children are bad, you punish them by grounding them. That means that they are not allowed to leave the house to do anything that they enjoy doing. That is one kind of grounding, but that is not what this article is about.
For many electrical devices there are only 2 prongs coming out of the plug and that is enough for it to work. On some electrical devices, there is a third prong called a ground. It is not there to make the device work. It is to keep too much electrical current from building up and electrocuting you. It is connected to the earth so excess electricity can drain into the earth.
Animals in nature are constantly coming in contact with the ground (earth), rocks or water. This prevents an excess charge from building up in their bodies. This not the case with humans. This can be seen by a person touching something and getting a static electric shock from the excess electricity leaving their body quickly. Different people have different sensitivities to this excess electric charge in their bodies.
There a famous raw-foodist that eats all raw foods by the name of David Wolfe. Both of his parents are medical doctors so he is very smart. He is also a self-made multi-millionaire. He has been experimenting with earthing or grounding by doing it a lot. He has found that it makes a significant difference in how he feels. Now to get a little more into the science of electricity. The earth is the best ground but a large object will ground to some degree.
So in a car, the body of the car is the ground. So he uses a device so while he is driving a car he can be grounded by being in electrical contact with the car. Stephen Sinatra M.D. wrote a book about grounding or earthing. He was approached by someone else to do this but refused to do it until testing was done to show that this does make a difference in people. There are different devices to help people to be grounded while they sleep.
People have reported benefits from earthing or grounding in being able to sleep better, reduction of chronic pain, less inflammation, less stress, increase in energy, shortening recovery time from injury or athletic recovery and more. The last that I heard was that David Wolfe had got to the point where he goes everywhere barefoot. Now I do not recommend this. Why? Do I think that I am smarter than David Wolfe?
