A surge of love seasoned with gratitude wells up in me and am honored to have been accorded with the chance to make such an address. I recognize the presence of the parade of the councilmen, whose teaming was a clever idea, but clever ideas arise from clever questions.It is for that reason I serve a purpose today. It is for the reason of intelligence and brevity that I am before you to pose a question regarding the morals on which our community is growing. There are reasons that make us believe that the manner of operations of our society lay credence to deprivation of freedom. Councilmen, do you find logic and grounds to believe that these are the very ideals on which the community was founded.The regression and degeneration of our values and principles call for the execution of immediate changes to every social aspect of our life (Rodden, 1999). You are a crop of highly intelligent personalities in the society, but I know you all bear with me that empathy is not and has never been a deviation from intelligence.I call on you all to lay aside personal interests and join hands in the march for hope. Hope that the predicaments that deprive us of moral justice will not lay us asunder. Hope that not everything that our community was founded on has been lost to the wind. Hope that we can salvage the little that we have left, that which reminds us of what we truly are and the hope to develop on them to realize ourselves. If we can hear and heed to the call of the march; if we can realize the need for the transformation; then we will have served our true purpose in life as animals.Truth must cease to be what we say it is and evolve to achieve its true meaning (Rodden, 1999). The ecstasy of the victory with which we have walked from the rebellion is not the end to all but signifies just the beginning of a long war. We are not gentlemen if we cannot see that. At the moment as we speak, the wheels on which our leadership runs signify inept and inadequate skills on the concerns of animal sense.As animals, we are the measure of our destiny and in as much as truth may differ for every individual, we must cease hamper our mental growth by feeding ourselves with rumors and innuendo. Our systems are corrupt and serve to make the leading elites swim in affluence as the rest of us wallow in poverty and squalor (Rodden, 1999). We cannot see beyond a day into the future because we are so much engaged in social tussles trying to make today’s life merely bearable.Letting Napoleon and his ilk take control of the future deprives us further of any ability to make a life out of the present (Rodden, 1999).Councilmen, let us not take time thinking about the past that will only blur our vision for the future. Let us also not yield to the temptations to get payback, because as Voltaire said, vengeance only disables the world. Let us not rush into a frantic race to morally redeem our society, but rather take the time to create stipulations that will sure lead us to victory (Rodden, 1999).As we developed the morals on which the society was created, so can we recreate them to ensure that all comrades enjoy!
