The international brotherhood of Teamsters union was formed in nineteen zero three. The Teamsters union, in the first place, represented horse team drivers and stable hands. The history of this union did not commence the year it was organized; instead, in eighteen fifty when San Francisco draymen came together to regulate their charges. The response of this union is forward-thinking in developing new structures and practices of inclusion, expression, and regulation, as part of a broader search for revitalization (Connolly, 2019). This dynamism in representation has kept the Teamsters union in a growth trajectory, also retaining its power base. The changing technologies over the years were not fought but instead included in the representation. The redundancies on old occupation paved the way for acceptance of new career but the same principle. There are cadres of workers who lack union services, especially in the private sector, which is evident by frustrated employee demand for representation (Holland, 2019). This occurrence is most acute in younger workers, which, when addressed, will be an interesting study to examine.
