For this task, assume you are a leader in special education. You have been asked to deliver a lecture on special education evaluation and the placement process to increase faculty understanding within a public educational institution of personal interest.
Then, develop a PowerPoint presentation that addresses the following: Pre-Referral Process Pre-Referral Intervention Process The Referral Process Evaluation Procedures Eligibility for Special Education Services Individualized Education Program (IEP) Development Special Education Placement and Inclusion Your lecture should be sufficiently detailed, yet not overly lengthy to support the parents understanding of whether special education services should be pursued for their child. Incorporate appropriate animations, transitions, and graphics as well as speaker notes for each slide. The speaker notes may be comprised of brief paragraphs or bulleted lists. Support your presentation with at least five scholarly resources.
In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources may be included. Length: 10-12 slides (with a separate reference slide)

For this task, assume that you are a special education leader. Then, write a position paper that addresses your personal beliefs about the evaluation and placement of special education students. The position paper should include the following points: The ethical treatment of students The ethical treatment of parents Staff interaction Valid evaluation results and corresponding recommendations IEP development Student follow-up Confidentiality
Length: 4 pages, not including title and reference pages.
References: 5 References Your paper should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards.
