Free Home Phones, A Trick or Not?

How many times have you thrown away the idea of free home phones, thinking they were scams? Are they really though? They claim to give you unlimited calls, free for the rest of your life, and other whatnot, and it all seems too good to be true. In some cases it is, but in other cases, it isn’t.
Some companies do scam you out of your money, but there are honest companies that only want to make your life easier. The trick is in finding the latter.
A Scammer
Many companies will make you pay hundreds upon hundreds upon thousands of dollars every year for a single landline, some of which is totally unnecessary. But there are other companies that honestly just want to help you, the consumer, save money and live better.
Many “free home phone” companies will get you to fill out your credit card info, and then never give you what you ordered. They’ll run away with the info, and use your credit card, adding to your bill instead of taking away. There are some companies that actually do take away from your bill, and are true to their words. I can personally guarantee it, for I have been a customer of one such company for about two years now.
A large number of companies who claim to be free home phone companies are in fact, not what they claim to be. Some will get you to pay extra features that are otherwise free, some will limit where, when, and for how long you can call at times, others, will just not even bother with you; they will take all the money you paid upfront, and leave.
A Non-Scammer
But, as I’ve mentioned before, there are companies that remain true to their word and give you what they say they’ll give you, in this case a free home phone. Just to clarify, you don’t receive a physical, brand new landline or anything.
Not all companies like this are scams, but as I’ve mentioned earlier, the trick is in finding one that’s not. The companies that are scams are everywhere, but scattered throughout, there are in fact legitimate companies scattered throughout. Not every single company that claims to give you a free home phone is big, bad, and mean, but rather, some are actually quite nice. Not all are evil little liars, but are actually very honest. You just have to fine one that’s the latter. Not an easy feat, but not impossible either.
