In addition to the convenience and laid back atmosphere of Vancouver’s East side the real estate here is significantly cheaper than other areas in West Vancouver, but that is quickly about to change. Over the past year prices have went from $825,000 for a detached home and a garage to about $845,000 for the same property. That is a huge jump for a neighborhood that has been seen in the past as an area to avoid if you are looking to purchase a home.
It looks as though people shopping on the market are still looking for cheaper homes that retain the old city charm of Vancouver. An atmosphere that is all but lost in the tall skyscraper condos that are popping up all over the city. You cannot purchase a condo and expect to receive a real sense of community along with it. That is simply unrealistic. But fortunately the East side of Vancouver is growing and improving giving buyers a chance to purchase old city charm that cannot be found anywhere else in the city.
As the market continues to heat up more buyers will be looking to purchase homes and living spaces in East side Vancouver, and that makes this one area that every real estate agent should be looking at for new opportunities.
