The Nursing Practice Act (NPA) is contained in Chapter 301 of the Texas Occupations Code (TOC), while nurses are expected to be familiar with chapters 303 and 304 (NetCE, 2021). On the other hand, advanced practice registered nurses are expected to be familiar with chapter 305 on the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Compact (NetCE, 2021).
