The examples provided show how the society creates and spreads a narrative on a certain group. In racial profiling, a particular group becomes the target of a negative view relating to suspicion of wrongdoings. For example, young black males get a negative perception regarding their intentions at all times, seen as violent and criminal. On the flip side, sometimes a society can create a positive image that is also stereotypical in nature as exemplified by model minority thinking. To answer your question, I believe that stereotypes will always be a critical part of the society.

I agree with your assertion on how law enforcement agencies advance this narrative, especially to Hispanics and Black communities. Young men are incarcerated and sometimes illegally detained or murdered on the basis of racial profiling. Similarly, your definition of social construction of race highlights key issues relating to how people interact and how they learn behaviors on how to address different types of people. In answering your question, contact hypothesis can be applied to communities by creating ways for law enforcement agents to interact with minority groups to reduce the bias and stereotypical perceptions.
