The big five personality test approach

The big five personality test approach may also influence an individual’s behavior at the workplace. The approach involves a test that predicts how a person behaves while at work depending on the traits that person displays (Di Stefano et al., 2019). Understanding these traits is essential, especially to managers and colleagues, because they will learn to coexist and create a better working environment. The character traits include openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and negative emotionality. From the big five personality test, I found out that my character trait is conscientiousness. People with such a trait are always knowledgeable and value work before other activities at a workplace is set up. They also have strong leadership skills and are flexible in any situation, which implies that they are willing to learn and apply new experiences (Di Stefano, 2019). The big five personality test dimensions through conscientiousness trait have influenced my behavior at work. The influence coincides with the one from the INTJ approach. Some effects include willingness to lead, especially in work projects, putting work achievements first before social life and other activities, being willing to learn and handle any work situation that comes positively, and seeking more knowledge to enhance my thinking and gain information related to my profession.
